- Subway is offering Sub Club members a free footlong with the purchase of another footlong from April 1 through April 28.
- The deal is only available on app and website orders with promo code FLBOGO.
- The free sandwich must be of equal or lesser value, and some subs are excluded.
I don’t drive, but I do love a deal that throws a little support toward the people out there paying actual gas prices. If filling up your tank is already rude enough, at least lunch can try to be a little more helpful.
Subway just announced a new buy-one-get-one footlong deal running all month long. Starting April 1 and going through April 28, Sub Club members can get one free footlong when they buy another footlong through the Subway app or website.
To get the deal, customers have to order online or in the app and use the promo code FLBOGO. It’s open to existing Sub Club members and anyone who signs up while the promotion is running, so if you’ve been Sub Club-curious, this is apparently your moment.
The free sandwich has to be of equal or lesser value, and there are a few exclusions in the fine print, including Fresh Fit, 5 Meat Italian, and Big Hot Pastrami. Add-ons cost extra, and the deal can’t be combined with other offers, so you can;’t fully game the system. Still, a free footlong is a free footlong.
Subway is pitching the promo as a small bit of relief during a month when people are already stretched thin between rent, groceries, utilities, and, yes, the pain of standing at a gas pump pretending this is all normal. The company says it wants making lunch to feel like an easier decision, which is fair enough when the alternative is paying full price for two sandwiches.
“We’re all getting less for our money lately, given the price at the pump, rising rents, utilities, and groceries,” Dave Skena, Chief Marketing Officer, North America, said in the announcement. “So we’re offering our Sub Club members a great deal on their favorite freshly made sandwiches all month long.”
So if April is already doing what April does to your bank account, at least Subway is making a case for ending the day with a very full stomach filled with bread, cheese, and meat.
