I love a good margarita. I love a good reason to drink one even more. And if Cinco de Mayo season comes with the possibility of free chips and salsa, or frankly any appetizer my heart desires, I’m listening.
Teremana, Dwayne Johnson’s tequila brand, is bringing back its annual Guac on the Rock promo, and this year it’s going bigger than usual. Instead of keeping the deal locked to a tight Cinco window, the brand is stretching it across two full months, running from April 1 through May 31.
All you have to do is buy a Teremana cocktail at a bar or restaurant, order an appetizer, and you can get up to $10 back. And despite the name, this is not just a guacamole situation as the promo now covers any appetizer you want.
This year, the deal is also expanding beyond bars and restaurants. For the first time, people can get in on it at home, too. If you buy a 750ml or larger bottle of Teremana plus a margarita mixer at an off-premise retailer, you can also get up to $10 reimbursed. So if your dream Cinco de Mayo looks more like couch, salt rim, and a bowl of something fried, the brand has apparently planned for that as well.
To get the money back, customers need to upload an itemized receipt showing either a Teremana cocktail and appetizer or a Teremana bottle and mixer. If approved, the reimbursement gets sent through Venmo, which feels appropriately modern versus the USPS or carrier pigeon. Receipts have to be submitted by June 21, 2026, and the whole campaign is capped at $1 million in appetizer and guac reimbursements nationwide.
“Six years ago, Guac on the Rock started as a thank you,” Dwayne Johnson said in the announcement. “It was our way of recognizing the bartenders, servers and restaurant owners who poured so much into their communities. In 2026, we’re extending it to the longest run we’ve ever had, because the mission is bigger than one holiday. It’s about creating more moments for people to gather around the table, raise a glass together, enjoy delicious cocktails, and support the places that bring neighborhoods to life.”
