Krispy Kreme is taking one small step for donuts and one giant leap for our taste buds with its latest limited-time flavor launch. Coinciding with NASA’s launch of Artemis II, scheduled for the evening of April 1, Krispy Kreme has planned a launch of its own with its Artemis II donut.

Available for three days only, from March 31 through April 2, Krispy Kreme shops will sell these out-of-this-world donuts in celebration of NASA’s first crewed mission aboard the Space Launch System rocket and the Orion spacecraft. The donut starts with Original Glazed, dipped in a bright blue vanilla-flavored icing, then sprinkled with Oreo crunch and white nonpareils, and finished with a dollop of cookies-and-cream-flavored buttercream and a red chevron nod to NASA’s logo.

The specialty donut is available to purchase as a single donut, as well as a part of the Artemis II Specialty Dozen, which includes six specialty donuts and six Original Glazed donuts.

This isn’t Krispy Kreme’s first mission with NASA, either—the bakery has teamed up with the celestial organization in the past to celebrate iconic moments in space travel history, like the Apollo 11 launch, Artemis I Mission, and the Rover landing on Mars.

If the space-themed donut is calling to you, I suggest you make it your mission to get to your local store stat to get your hands on one before they fly off the shelves.
