Shake Shack launched a limited-time pimento cheese menu featuring a burger, chicken sandwich, and side dip.
The burger delivers strong flavor, but it’s a little heavy on the sauce, while the chicken sandwich is more balanced.
The pimento cheese adds bold, creamy heat—but doesn’t fully work as a dip for chicken bites.
Shake Shack is no stranger to unique flavor combinations, and its newest menu features a beloved Southern staple: pimento cheese. The Clubhouse Pimento Cheese menu, available starting today for a limited time, offers upgrades to some of your Shake Shack favorites. And if you’ve never had pimento cheese before, this is a great way to be introduced.
Often called the “caviar of the South,” the spread is typically a mix of cheese, mayo, and pimento peppers, which have a sweet, mild flavor. Shake Shack’s version includes chopped cherry peppers rather than the traditional pimento peppers. This adds a unique spin to a Southern classic—it’s still rich and creamy, but with a noticeable heat that builds as you keep eating.
The menu centers around two new sandwiches: a Pimento Cheese Burger and a Pimento Cheese Chicken Sandwich, plus a side of pimento cheese you can order in-store to pair with chicken bites. I tried the new menu items to see if they’re worth ordering. Here’s what you need to know.
Clubhouse Pimento Cheese Burger
The pimento cheese on the burger is genuinely delicious—rich, slightly spicy, and very craveable. The beef is solid, the bun is soft, and the pimento cheese brings a creamy, slightly spicy layer that hits immediately. I do have a small gripe, however, with the inclusion of both Shack Sauce and pimento cheese. The burger leans a tad sauce-heavy, and I found myself wanting a bit of crunch to break it up.
Clubhouse Pimento Cheese Chicken Sandwich
The chicken sandwich is the standout here. The crispy coating adds the crunch the burger is missing, and the pickles help cut through the richness of the pimento cheese. It feels like a more complete and balanced bite overall.
Side Of Pimento With Chicken Bites
If you don’t want to fully commit to the pimento, you can order the spread on the side to enjoy with the chain’s chicken bites. It resembles an elevated version of the classic nugget-and-dip combination. In theory, it works—but in practice, the pimento cheese is a little too thick and rich to function as a true dip.
The eating experience is less “dip your nugget” and more “add a scoop on top and commit.” The bites themselves are exactly what you’d expect from Shake Shack, but this pairing feels more like a novelty than something you’d order again.
Overall, this is a strong menu drop. Every dish brings the same savory Shake Shack flavors we know and love, and the creamy, spicy notes of the pimento cheese translate really well. The chicken sandwich is the most balanced option, while the burger is richer and more indulgent—just be prepared for it to get a little messy. The bites are less of a dip situation and more of a build-your-own bite, but still enjoyable.
Shake Shack continues to push flavor in a way most chains don’t, and this is another solid example of that, especially if you’re into bold, slightly over-the-top combinations.
But the menu won’t be around forever, so head to your local Shake Shack soon before it’s gone. Need more motivation? The chain is offering a BOGO deal from April 9 through 12, where you can grab a free burger or chicken sandwich with code PIMENTO when ordering through the Shack app, website, or in-store.
