  • Hard Mountain Dew is kicking off “outdoor drinking season” with a one-day pedicure pop-up in Philadelphia on April 9.
  • The brand is also offering a nationwide pedicure reimbursement program for fans who submit salon receipts between March 25 and April 9, while supplies last.
  • In other words: yes, Hard Mountain Dew is literally helping people get sandal-ready.

You really do not understand the power of a pedicure until you’ve had one. As a runner with feet that have frankly seen too much, I’m sorry to anyone who has encountered them up close and personal. I need the soak, the scrub, the heel rescue, the whole deal. The only problem is that I do not always want to shell out the money for it. But as the weather gets warmer, my flip-flops and Birkenstocks come out of hiding, and no one needs to witness what’s been going on down there. Thankfully, Hard Mountain Dew has apparently decided to intervene.

This spring, the brand is launching Hard Mountain Dew Man-i Pedi, which is exactly what it sounds like: a campaign built around fixing the annual foot-neglect problem before outdoor drinking season kicks in.

You have the chance to experience a one-day-only nail salon pop-up in Philadelphia on Thursday, April 9, where fans 21 and over can book a free pedicure and kick back with a cold Hard Mountain Dew while their feet get the attention they’ve been denied since sandal season ended. The event runs from 4 to 8 p.m., and appointments can be booked through the campaign site.

And Philly is not getting all the love. Hard Mountain Dew is also launching a nationwide pedicure reimbursement program, which means fans across the U.S. can get their own pedi between March 25 and April 9, submit their receipt at HardDewManiPedi.com, and get reimbursed while supplies last.

“Hard Mountain Dew, as usual, goes where few brands have gone before – and that now includes pedicures,” said Erica Taylor, senior brand director for Hard Mountain Dew. “Nobody asked us to fix the foot-neglect problem this spring, but somebody had to do it. And if you’re going to roll into sandal season, you might as well do it with an ice-cold Hard Mountain Dew in hand! Consider this our gift to everyone who’s been one flip-flop away from a very uncomfortable conversation.”

Between the free salon treatment and the deeply real acknowledgment that many of us have been pretending our feet don’t exist all winter, this may be one of the more useful warm-weather promotions I’ve seen in a while—and my feet are oh, so grateful for it.
