  • McDonald’s has partnered with Netflix for a limited-time menu inspired by ‘KPop Demon Hunters.’
  • The campaign includes two adult Happy Meals, inspired by Saja Boys and HUNTR/X, that come with exclusive collectible cards.
  • McDonald’s is also selling a Derpy Tiger McFlurry with wild berry sauce and berry popping pearls.

Fresh off its Oscars win, the movie KPop Demon Hunters is putting the “Golden” in Golden Arches. McDonald’s has partnered with Netflix to launch two meals in honor of the film. They’ll be available at McDonald’s locations nationwide starting March 31 for a limited time.

The campaign draws inspiration from the rivalry between the Saja Boys and HUNTR/X, with special curated menus that reflect the members of each fictional KPop group. Both meals feature flavors typically found only at the chain’s South Korean locations.

While both meals are designed for adults, they each come with collectibles and a limited-edition box that bears a striking resemblance to what you’d get with a Happy Meal. Here’s what you can expect from the KPop Demon Hunters menu.

Time to set an early alarm: McDonald’s locations nationwide are offering a Saja Boys-inspired breakfast until 10:30 a.m. The star of the meal is the Spicy Saja McMuffin, which starts with a classic Sausage McMuffin with Egg. It’s topped with a peppery Spicy Saja Sauce, which McDonald’s says is inspired by the fire of Gwi-Ma.

Accompanying the McMuffin is an order of the chain’s signature hash browns. The crispy exterior and soft center pay homage to the group’s leader, Jinu. But let’s be honest: Is a McDonald’s breakfast without hash browns really a McDonald’s breakfast? I’d argue no. A small “Soda Pop” of your choice rounds out the Saja Boys Breakfast.

HUNTR/X Meal

The demon-hunting girl group HUNTR/X gets its own signature meal featuring three (!) limited-time menu items. It starts with a 10-piece order of McNuggets, which serves as the perfect vehicle for dipping into the two included sauces. The first, Hunter Sauce, is a sweet chili sauce with notes of garlic and pepper. The meal also includes a mustard-based Demon Sauce. It’s bold, tangy, and, most importantly, bright purple (in honor of the demon patterns featured in the film).

Every order also comes with a medium soft drink and Ramyeon McShaker Fries. If you tasted the pickle-inspired fries that accompanied the chain’s Grinch meal last year, you’re familiar with the McShaker concept: sprinkle the included seasoning into your bag, add your fries, and shake to coat. This time, the seasoning is inspired by the flavors of instant ramen, the girl group’s favorite snack. Expect bold notes of soy, garlic, sesame, and spice.

Derpy McFlurry

Dessert with layers of cream and blueberries.

In addition to the two meals, there is a brand-new McFlurry flavor named after Derpy Tiger. The treat starts with McDonald’s creamy vanilla soft serve, then is swirled with a wild berry sauce and berry popping pearls.

And the fun doesn’t stop there. With every Saja Boys Breakfast Meal and HUNTR/X Meal, customers receive a collectible card pack that includes an exclusive photo card of one of the KPop groups and a Derpy access card. The latter features a QR code and a unique code that unlocks exclusive content.

So will the Saja Boys meal or the HUNTR/X meal win over the fans? You’ll have to try both to find out.
