Last year, Popeyes launched an entire pickle menu, and it was an instant hit. Now, KFC is throwing its hat in the ring with its own take on pickles.
The new Pickle Mania menu at KFC launches on March 23 for a limited time, featuring brine-forward menu items like a Pickle Burger, Pickle Loaded Fries, Frickles, and, to wash it all down, a Pickle Pepsi Max. Sounds good, right? Unfortunately, the catch is that the tangy specialty menu is only available in the United Kingdom. At least, for now. Let’s get into the details, shall we?
The Pickle-Loaded Fries come with fries in dill seasoning, pickle chips, and a drizzle of pickle ranch sauce on top. The “burger” is really a chicken sandwich with KFC’s Original Recipe fillet, pickle seasoning, gherkins, pickle ranch, and crispy pickle chips.
Perhaps most eyebrow-raising is the Pickle Pepsi Max. Order it up, and you’ll receive a Pepsi Max served with a side of pickle juice—allowing each customer to adjust the level of brine to their perfect ratio. Some might think it strange, but others may remember a similar drink invention that became all the rage just a couple of years ago—Pickle Dr. Pepper.
