Trader Joe’s Chili & Lime Rolled Corn Tortilla Chips are already one of my favorite TJ’s snacks. They’ve got the heat, they’ve got that little lime after-kick to balance everything out, and they clear a lot of other lime chips for me. I never really thought about Trader Joe’s giving them a flavor expansion, so I was very pleasantly surprised to see what might be coming next.

According to a new post from @traderjoesobsessed, Trader Joe’s is reportedly launching two new flavors of its Rolled Corn Tortilla Chips in the next few weeks: Ranch and Nacho Cheese.

It’s giving a full Doritos-esque moment, which, for the record, I support. Doritos are top-tier chips. (Purple bag forever, but I’m not above the blue and red lanes either.) So seeing TJ’s move into ranch and nacho territory with its rolled chip format feels like a very smart, very dangerous development.

The post says the new chips should be $2.99 for a 9-ounce bag and notes they’re Certified OU-D. It also includes an important disclaimer: the images shown are AI-generated for illustration purposes.

As for fan reaction, people are already acting exactly how you’d expect when Trader Joe’s teases a snack upgrade. “Omg I can’t wait 😍,””one person wrote, while another said, “Omgggg I’m psychedddddddddd.” A few comments skipped straight to emotional extremes—I’ll die 😍😍😍😍” and “DONT GET ME STARTED”—while one person made the strongest case for this launch in a single sentence: “finally the non spicy lovers get included!!”

The chili-lime version still has my heart, but I’d absolutely add both of these to cart in a heartbeat.
