  • Dippin’ Dots will be sold in grocery stores nationwide for the first time ever.
  • The new multipacks will include Cookies ‘N Cream, Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, and Ultimate Brownie Batter.
  • The brand was previously limited by strict storage temperature requirements, but has now found a way into the freezer aisle.

If the thought of Dippin’ Dots doesn’t immediately transport you back to childhood adventures, then I sincerely question your upbringing. I remember trips to kids’ play places where you could find the elusive vending machine serving up those tiny ice cream beads that felt so futuristic at the time. These days, you can still spot the minus-40-degree treat at some sports stadiums and amusement parks, but it has remained surprisingly hard to get your hands on—until now.

For the first time ever, Dippin’ Dots will be available at grocery stores nationwide. Until recently, the product’s ultra-cold storage requirements made broad retail distribution nearly impossible. But the company has finally figured out how to make the leap, which means the beloved dots will be in a store near you.

The new grocery launch will feature multipacks of 2.5-ounce cups in three of the brand’s most popular flavors: Cookies ‘N Cream, Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, and Ultimate Brownie Batter. Unlike the brand’s grocery debut last year, which included Cookies ‘N Cream and Cotton Candy Sundaes with toppings and sauce, these new packs are all about the classic Dippin’ Dots roots, featuring just the iconic beaded ice cream.

The multipacks will be available at Walmart stores nationwide, as well as at other retailers.

This, paired with the launch of Artemis II, brings me right back to the ‘90s. Here’s hoping a few more of my favorite childhood snacks are next in line for a comeback.
