  • The unlikely duo got together for a music video remaking the band’s iconic hit “How You Remind Me,” this time titled “Pickle’s Back.”
  • Meg has long been a fan of pairing Cheetos with pickles, and even inspired Cheetos’ Flamin’ Hot Dill Pickle flavor.

Megan Thee Stallion may be famous for her musical prowess, but the award-winning artist knows her way around the kitchen just as well as she knows her way around a stage. There’s no doubt that she has her finger on the pulse of what’s trending in the food world, as evidenced by her recent Protein Refresher on the menu at Dunkin’ and her very own Popeyes franchise in Miami.

Plus, it’s no secret that the singer goes hard for Cheetos, in particular, the Flamin’ Hot variety. Back in 2022, the songstress released the single “Flamin’ Hottie” in a symbiotic partnership with the brand. Now, she’s at it again, this time promoting Flamin’ Hot Dill Pickle Puffs, which a spokesperson says was a flavor inspired by Megan herself (but more on that later).

It’s the duo you never saw coming—Megan Thee Stallion and Nickelback have created a spicy remake of the band’s iconic hit “How You Remind Me,” this time titled “Pickle’s Back.” Get it? And there’s no better way to promote the fiery new song than with an over-the-top music video to go along with it.

“Everybody knows that I love pickles. Everybody knows that I love Flamin’ Hot Cheetos. And I feel like it was very obvious to come get me to be the face of this launch, because, yeah, I was gonna eat this anyway,” she tells me.

When it comes to working with Nickelback, Megan shares, “Oh my god. It was so great. They are so iconic, so legendary.” Although an unlikely pairing (much like pickles and Cheetos), Megan talks about how much fun she had on set. “I was like, man, Nickelback. What the hell is that going to sound like? But remixing one of my favorite songs, one of the most iconic songs by them ever, and making it fun and making it be about my favorite snack: I’m happy,” she says.

“It was very interesting, but it felt right. When my lyrics got on that beat with Nickelback, it just felt very natural,” she continues.

And circling back to that favorite snack of Meg’s, her go-to is likely what inspired this new Cheetos flavor to begin with. “I don’t think it’s weird, and I’ve said it before, which is probably why we’re here today. But I stick Hot Cheetos inside of pickles, and eat all that as a sandwich,” she explains. “You use the pickle as the bread, and then you put pepper jack cheese on the inside, and then you put the Flamin’ Hot Cheetos on the inside of that, and eat it like a little sandwich. And if you really want to get crazy, put a little tahini on it,” she continues. “It’s amazing. You should try it.” Sounds like some real hot girl sh*t.
