As someone with two Marvel tattoos and a home that is, at this point, 30 percent Funko Pop by volume, I am exactly the kind of person these new OREOs were made for. And this time they’re leaning fully into villain era with the new Stuf of Doom cookie packs.
If you’ve been following along with the earlier Stuf of Legends drops, you know this whole collab has basically been one long, very nerdy breadcrumb trail. Fans were sent on a digital scavenger hunt to track down a mysterious fourth pack that had gone missing mid-storyline thanks to some Super Villain interference.
The twist? The final pack everyone was working to recover turned out to be the Stuf of Doom all along. Which feels extremely on-brand for none other than the super-genius, megalomaniac, and notorious Fantastic Four bad guy Doctor Doom.
The cookies themselves come stamped with Doom’s mask and feature what OREO is calling a Masked Decadence flavor (think chocolate graham cookies with a toasted marshmallow–flavored creme). The filling also uses that same color-changing technology from the earlier Marvel packs, meaning the black creme will turn your tongue Doom’s signature green when you lick it.
Each pack also includes comic-style artwork of Doctor Doom illustrated by Marvel artist Todd Nauck, and if you’ve collected the three Stuf of Legends packs already, the Stuf of Doom release completes the set. Line all four up and you’ll unlock a hidden scene that ties the whole OREO x Marvel storyline together.
Preorders for the limited-edition packs open February 23 at OREO.com, with a nationwide retail rollout starting March 2—or, as I’m choosing to interpret it, the exact date I suddenly need to go out and buy cookies for research purposes.
