Because while the internet is currently chewing on that recent Chipotle earnings-call chatter about prices nudging up 1–2 percent in 2026, and the whole “60 percent of customers have a household income over $100K” comment making the rounds, I’m over here with my hand out. And for a few days in late February, Chipotle actually has something to give.
To celebrate National Tortilla Chip Day, the fast-casual restaurant is offering a free regular-size side of Chips & Queso Blanco on digital orders with code CHIPS26. The deal runs for three days—Monday, February 23 through Wednesday, February 25, 2026—and it works on orders placed through the Chipotle app and Chipotle.com.
“Our chips are handmade every morning with fresh lime, and they pair perfectly with our delicious Queso Blanco,” said Stephanie Perdue, Interim Chief Marketing Officer, Chipotle. “Both are made with real ingredients and no artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives. It’s the best way to celebrate Tortilla Chip Day with the real ingredients our guests expect from Chipotle.”
You’ve got to buy a full-priced entree to unlock the freebie, and the code is one-time use per eligible transaction. Note that it’s not valid on catering, Burritos by the Box, or kids’ meals, and it also doesn’t work in-restaurant or through third-party delivery apps. Oh, and you have to order it as the complete side item (so: Chips & Queso Blanco together), not as two separate items.
Still, if you were looking for a low-effort reason to reward yourself between Monday and Wednesday next week, this is a pretty decent one. Consider it a small, melty gift from the Chipotle gods for making us pay more for burrito bowls.
