- Heather Graham says she’s eaten the same oatmeal nearly every day for four years.
- The recipe includes toasted oats, peanut butter, cacao nibs, and berries.
- She calls it filling, customizable, and “mind-blowing.”
Some people rotate through breakfast favorites, but actress Heather Graham found one and has stuck with it ever since. On the latest episode of SNACKS!, Graham shares her obsession with her go-to oatmeal recipe, which is a little more elevated than you might think.
“I’ve made this for a lot of my friends…and everyone’s like, ‘I want the recipe,’” she says.
The oatmeal itself is pretty simple, but the technique is what makes it stand out. “You melt butter…and then you toast the oats,” she explains.
That step changes the texture. Instead of ending up soft and overly wet, the oats develop more structure.
From there, she adds a mix of water and milk, keeping the liquid controlled so the final result stays thick rather than soupy. Cinnamon and salt go in for balance, which already pushes it past the standard breakfast version.
Then come the toppings. Graham adds peanut butter for richness, cacao nibs for a chocolate element, and berries like raspberries and blueberries.
She notes that you can swap in different nut butters or fruits depending on what you have, but the base stays the same.
“I’ve eaten it every day for like four years,” she says.
This healthy breakfast is also a shift from how she used to eat. Earlier in the episode, Graham talks about having a major sweet tooth when she was younger, eating candy or ice cream instead of dinner because she didn’t know how to cook.
“I would sometimes be like, I’m not having dinner. I’m just going to buy like six candy bars,” she says.
Her oatmeal still leans into the sweet flavors she likes, but in a way that actually holds up as a meal.
