- Poppi just launched a new limited-edition soda flavor called Berries & Cream.
- The flavor combines blackberry, raspberry, and blueberry with a sweet cream finish.
- It’s available now at Sprouts Farmers Market, with Kroger launching it later.
There are some flavor names that require a little explanation, and then there are some that basically sell themselves. Berries & Cream falls firmly into the second category. Poppi just announced a new limited-edition flavor with that exact name, and the response online has already been loud enough to suggest the brand knew exactly what it was doing.
The new soda combines blackberry, raspberry, and blueberry with a sweet cream finish. It’s still staying within Poppi’s usual nutritional lane, though, with 35 calories, 5 grams of sugar, and 3 grams of fiber per can. Berries & Cream is following in the footsteps of the brand’s previously released flavor, Shirley Temple, which was met with roaring applause on social media back in early January.
And for this new drop, the mix of berries and cream was enough to get people going just as fast. Expectedly over-the-top reactions ranged from “actually so obsessed” and “yes please!!!!!!” to a demanding “not a want but a NEED!!” Someone else wrote, “Spectacular, give me 14 of em right now,” and another put it plainly: “So ready for this flavor 😋.”
The flavor is launching first at Sprouts Farmers Market, with Kroger set to get it in the coming months. So if you’re already feeling overly attached to a soda you haven’t tried yet, you already know where your first stop is.
As for whether it actually delivers on the name, that’s the real question. But as a concept, Berries & Cream has enough going for it that the early reaction makes sense. Poppi didn’t exactly pick a hard sell.
