  • White Castle is launching a limited-time Chicken Fajita Slider with grilled peppers, jalapeño cheese, and chili aioli.
  • The chain is also introducing Jalapeño Cravioli, a fried, cheesy, spicy side served with dipping sauce.
  • Both items will arrive on April 6 and will be available through June 14 while supplies last.

White Castle is adding a little Southwest heat to its menu.

The chain just announced two new limited-time items: a Chicken Fajita Slider and something called Jalapeño Cravioli, both hitting menus April 6. And while White Castle isn’t exactly part of my regular rotation these days (unless we’re talking post–high school chorus practice nostalgia runs), this is the kind of drop that makes you pause.

Let’s start with the main event.

The Chicken Fajita Slider is exactly what it sounds like, but with a fast-food twist. It features crispy, all-white meat chicken topped with grilled onions and peppers, jalapeño cheese, and a green chili aioli. It’s a pretty big departure from the brand’s classic steamed beef sliders, leaning into bolder, more layered flavors.

According to White Castle, this one has actually been a long time coming. The slider was originally tested in Indianapolis in 2021, where it performed well, but supply chain issues delayed a nationwide rollout. After bringing it back to consumers in a 2025 survey—and getting strong feedback—it’s finally making its way to menus across the country for a limited run through June 14.

Price-wise, it’ll land somewhere between $2.59 and $2.99, depending on location, which is reasonable for something a little more built-out than the standard slider.

But if we’re being honest, the real star here might be the side.

Jalapeño Cravioli—which, yes, is a real name White Castle is using—are bite-sized snacks made with diced jalapeños and cream cheese, all wrapped in a crispy, seasoned cornmeal breading. They’re served with the same green chili aioli as a dipping sauce, which ties the whole lineup together.

You can get them in a small (five-piece) portion for $1.99 or go all in with 14 pieces for $4.99. And this is where my interest really spikes. There’s something about a fried, cheesy, slightly spicy bite-sized situation that feels very aligned with what White Castle does best.

The chain is also leaning into deals alongside the launch. Members of its free Craver Nation Rewards program can grab a Chicken Fajita Slider and a three-piece order of Jalapeño Cravioli for $3.99, and additional coupons are available online for combo meals and larger orders.

Overall, this is a more flavor-forward move than what we typically see from White Castle, and it actually seems like a natural fit. The brand is still operating in its lane—small, affordable, craveable—but with a little more personality.

And while I can’t say I was actively planning my return to White Castle anytime soon, a bag of Jalapeño Cravioli might just be enough to change that.
