Ilana Glazer Says —Here’s What She’s Drinking Instead

Ilana Glazer has a new way to unwind, and it does not involve a glass of vino at the end of a long day. On a recent episode of SNACKS!, the Broad City star opened up about how her relationship with alcohol has shifted over time. These days, she’s drinking far less and reaching for something more controlled instead.

“I’m drinking a lot less alcohol these days,” she tells Delish Editorial Director Joanna Saltz. “Most days when my workday ends…I pop open a can, and I’m just relaxed.” That “can” is a low-dose THC and CBD drink, specifically one with about two milligrams of THC. For Glazer, that number is intentional—it gives her a subtle shift without tipping into anything overwhelming.

“Two milligrams is my thing…it’s very little. That’s how I want it.”

Glazer describes the drink as a way to transition out of work mode and into her evening routine, especially now that she is a parent. “It’s just a nice way to pivot my mode off of work into dinner, bath, and bedtime.”

That idea of a pivot is central to what she’s getting at. This isn’t just about replacing alcohol with something else, but about rethinking what it means to unwind in the first place. “Nobody needs to go out and black out anymore,” she says.

And she ties that shift to a broader change in how people talk about mental health and coping. “The normalization of mental health…is making people need to drink away their problems less.”

Glazer also reflects on how her habits used to be more extreme, where binging—whether it was alcohol, weed, or even food—was often tied to restriction and overcorrection. Now, she’s approaching things with more balance, choosing options that let her stay present while still taking the edge off.

That same mentality shows up across the board, from what she eats to how she parents. Nothing is framed as off-limits, but it also doesn’t need to be pushed to an extreme to feel enjoyable.

The result feels less like a passing trend and more like a shift in priorities. For Glazer, winding down is no longer about excess. It’s about finding something that works, keeping it light, and staying in control of how she feels.
