It’s time to check that model number on your oven—Electrolux Group has recalled 180,100 Frigidaire Gas Ranges due to a burn hazard. According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, the affected ovens in the ranges can experience delayed ignition of the oven’s bake burner, posing a serious burn hazard to those using the range. A “bake burner” is the primary heating component located at the bottom of a gas oven.
According to the recall announcement, there have been 62 reports of delayed ignition of the oven’s bake burner, including 30 reports of burn injuries. The faulty ranges were sold in the United States and Canada at Lowe’s, The Home Depot, and other retail stores, as well as online at Frigidaire.com, between June 2025 and January 2026. The affected ranges were priced between $630 and $2,700.
The recall includes Frigidaire, Frigidaire Gallery, and Frigidaire Professional Gas Ranges with the following model numbers:

The models also fall within the serial number range of VF52200000 through VF54399999. Both numbers are printed on a nameplate in the drawer beneath the oven, so it’s important to check them right away.
Consumers have been instructed to stop using the affected ovens and contact Electrolux Group for a free repair. The recall does not affect the cooktop burners on the range.
