- Costco is rolling out two new spring bakery desserts: peaches-and-cream pastries and raspberry-filled sugar cookies.
- The pastries feature flaky dough, peach filling, and a tangy cream made with Greek yogurt and cream cheese, while the cookies are filled with raspberry jam and dusted with powdered sugar.
- Early reactions from members have been enthusiastic, with shoppers praising the pastries for not being overly sweet and the cookies for their soft, delicate texture.
Spring is (finally) almost here, and Costco is ushering in the new season with not one but two new seasonal bakery treats. So far in 2026, members have already met decadent desserts like twice-baked chocolate croissants, caramel beignets, and salted caramel cheesecake.
These latest releases, though, are moving in a fresher, fruitier direction. Here’s what you can expect on your next Costco trip.
Peaches & Cream Pastries
Over the past few days, Costco members have spotted peaches-and-cream pastries in the bakery department. Each box comes with eight generously sized pastries for just $11.99. Like many of Costco’s bakery desserts, these start with the chain’s flaky, all-butter pastry dough, with the star being the tart peach filling in the center.
Where they get a little more interesting is the creamy component. Instead of using plain heavy cream, the bakery adds a mixture of Greek yogurt and cream cheese, which gives the pastries some tang and richness against the decadent croissant-style dough. To finish them off, each freshly baked pastry is brushed with an apricot glaze for a glossy, slightly sweet finish.
Laura Lamb of @costcohotfinds first discovered the pastries as a sample at her local warehouse and said they were so good she went back for seconds, describing them as “light, flaky, and buttery.” A shopper on the Costco subreddit shared their review, saying they appreciated that the pastries weren’t “overly sweet,” while another user admitted to eating two in their warehouse’s parking lot. If that’s not a glowing review, I don’t know what is.
Raspberry-Filled Sugar Cookies
As if one spring bakery item weren’t enough, Costco is also rolling out a second: raspberry-filled sugar cookies. These are a far cry from the standard chewy cookies you usually find in the bakery section. Instead, they’re cut into circles with fluted edges, filled with sweet raspberry jam, and dusted with plenty of powdered sugar. Each package contains 15 cookies, effectively a Costco-sized baker’s dozen, and costs $10.99.
On Instagram, members described the texture as “a cross between a sugar cookie and a shortbread,” adding that the cookies are “so soft they are almost fragile.” One user even compared them to a Pop-Tart and said they’re especially delicious served warm.
Some were quick to compare them to Costco’s discontinued raspberry crumble cookies, which looked strikingly similar but had an exposed raspberry center and crumb topping.
The now-discontinued crumble cookies were also made with butter, while the newer version uses margarine with natural butter flavor. Still, that change might not be a bad thing. Members say the new cookies are softer than the older crumble version, which could be attributed to the margarine’s lower water content.
Whether you want to try the pastries, the cookies, or both, Costco is making a strong case for taking a trip to the warehouse this season.
