- Buffalo Wild Wings is launching its first-ever Espresso Proteini, a wing-inspired spin on the espresso martini.
- The drink has 10 grams of protein and is infused with—and rimmed in—the chain’s Buffalo Dry Rub.
- It’ll be available at select locations from March 13 through March 15, either on its own or in a bundle with 6 boneless wings.
I enjoy an espresso martini. I enjoy a protein shake. I enjoy wings. My general preference has always been to keep those things in separate lanes—but Buffalo Wild Wings has apparently looked at 2026’s two loudest food trends, protein and martinis, and decided the answer was to smash them together anyway.
The dual restaurant-sports bar is launching its first-ever Espresso Proteini, which is exactly what it sounds like: an espresso martini with 10 grams of protein that’s also infused with—and rimmed in—the chain’s Buffalo Dry Rub. Yes, really. No, this is not a drill. And yes, I did briefly want to die typing the phrase “protein espresso martini with a buffalo wing rim,” so thank you for asking.
The chain is calling it an “unexpectedly delicious and satisfying sip,” which is bold language for a drink that sounds like it was invented during a very specific kind of brainstorm. But Buffalo Wild Wings is fully committing to the bit here. Since olives and nuts apparently don’t cut it at B-Dubs, the Espresso Proteini can also be ordered with a side of 6 boneless wings as part of a $19.99 bundle. If you’d rather just sip the thing and process your feelings in peace, it’ll also be available on its own for $12.
The Espresso Proteini is hitting select locations nationwide starting Friday, March 13, and it’ll stick around through Sunday, March 15 (which just so happens to line up with both National Espresso Martini Day and Selection Sunday).
So yes, if your 2026 bingo card included a protein cocktail from Buffalo Wild Wings, congratulations! You win… I think?
