If your childhood was anything like mine, you found joy in the simple things—making obstacle courses outside, dashing back from the bathroom in time for your favorite TV show, and biting off the ends of your Twizzlers to use them as a straw. Even though the brand launched in 1929, it wasn’t until 2004 that the higher-ups caught on and introduced Twizzlers Straws, specifically made for sipping.
Now, in keeping with the times, the brand is hopping on the dirty soda bandwagon with a limited-edition flavor inspired by the whole mixing-flavored-syrups-with-soda trend. The new Twizzlers Straws are flavored with vanilla, lime, and coconut, which sounds like the perfect addition to your bubbly beverage of choice.
They’ll be available in small quantities beginning March 12 while supplies last. Fans can grab it on shop.hersheys.com starting at 12 p.m. EST for $4.49, as well as on Gopuff in major cities.
The candy will also be available at select Hershey’s Chocolate World locations, including the Hershey, Pennsylvania flagship—where specialty dirty soda drinks will also be available on weekends in March—and the Times Square location on March 31.
If you’re already worried you won’t get your hands (or lips) on the coveted new flavor, don’t fret. You can still use my handy-dandy method of biting off the ends of regular or rainbow Twizzlers and sipping to your heart’s content.
