  • Costco just debuted a new Danish flavor that features a split filling of strawberry and cream cheese.
  • The new flavor is eligible for the warehouse’s mix-and-match deal for $11.99.
  • Fans are celebrating the new pastry, saying that it’s about time the warehouse combined cheese and fruit in its Danishes.

One of Costco’s most beloved bakery items is its flaky, decadent Danishes. The warehouse typically offers three year-round flavors: cherry, almond, and cream cheese. While members can mix and match two packs of four for $11.99, choosing between your favorite flavors can be a near-impossible decision.

Thankfully, with Costco’s newest pastry drop, you don’t have to decide anymore. The bakery department just debuted a brand-new Danish variety that features a split filling of strawberry and cream cheese.

Laura Lamb of @costcohotfinds shared the news on Instagram after finding the new treat at her local warehouse. Her Danishes were still warm straight out of the box and covered in a layer of icing.

Lamb raved about the new flavor, saying that the “cream cheese matches the strawberry perfectly” and that it tastes great paired with a cup of coffee. You truly get the best of both worlds in a single pastry!

Fans on social media flooded the comments to share their thoughts. One user wrote, “FINALLY fruit and cheese one,” while another immediately made plans to grab them: “Costco, here I come!”

The best part? Just like all of the other flavors, these strawberry cheese Danishes are eligible for the warehouse’s mix-and-match deal. Can’t choose between cheese, fruit, or almond? If you mix this new flavor with the almond Danishes, you can enjoy all three!

While many were celebrating the new Danish offering, others lamented the higher prices compared to years past. “Remembering when mix and match used to be $6.99 😔,” one user wrote. A price increase of over 70% is certainly no laughing matter—but this deal is still a lot more affordable than what you’d find at most bakeries.

If you need me, I’ll be stocking up on these Danishes at my local Costco—and you should too.
