- Jason Kelce tried the $180 LX Hammer Burger at this year’s Super Bowl, and people online claim it’s the “energy we need.”
- People online were quick to express their thoughts on the pricey burger, calling it “diabolical” and a “rip-off.”
- Still, people thought it looked good and called it “luxury football.”
He may not be playing in the Super Bowl this year, but Jason Kelce is still making headlines. The former Eagles center was seen chowing down on Super Bowl LX’s legendary $180 Hammer Burger, proclaiming, “This is my kinda sandwich.”
The burger is one of many outrageous concession items being served at Levi’s Stadium for the Super Bowl this year. The behemoth of a burger, made with braised bone-in beef shank, roasted mirepoix demi-glace, and Point Reyes bleu cheese fondue, made a right mess of his beard. But hey, more cheese for later!
It might be pricey, but a portion of the burger’s proceeds will go to Campbell Future Farmers of America, a student-led leadership organization focused on agricultural education, career development, and personal growth.
People on social media were quick to express their own opinions on the hefty burger: “The Super Bowl energy we need!” commented one fan.
“Someone get Jason a napkin 😂,” wrote another. “Oh my holy hell, that looks so good,” one person commented.
However, a lot of people took issue with the $180 price tag. “No. $180 is diabolical and highway robbery,” wrote one person on another social media video of the burger. “What a rip-off. Ridiculous,” commented another.
“$180 for a burger is crazy work but braised beef shank and bleu cheese fondue at the Super Bowl? That’s luxury football food at its finest. Limited to 200 makes it even wilder,” one person wrote on X.
However, one astute person asked the important question: “How are you supposed to get that thing back to your seat?”
