Chick-fil-A Tests New Sandwiches In Select Locations Until March

  • Chick-fil-A is testing two new sandwiches: the Avocado Sriracha BLT and the Sweet Chili Lime Crunch.
  • The tests are limited to Oklahoma City and North Carolina’s Piedmont Triad through March 7.
  • Both sandwiches come in Original, Spicy, or Grilled versions, with bold toppings and sauces.

Chick-fil-A has a very specific talent of dropping something new in a few cities, then watching the rest of us beg for a nationwide rollout. It’s a smart little strategy, and wouldn’t ya know, it’s happening yet again.

Right now, Chick-fil-A is testing two new sandwiches, available only in select markets for a limited time. The new contenders are the Avocado Sriracha BLT Sandwich and the Sweet Chili Lime Crunch Sandwich, and yes, there’s even another catch: you can’t get both in the same place.

The Avocado Sriracha BLT is being tested in Oklahoma City area restaurants, and the Sweet Chili Lime Crunch is being tested in North Carolina’s Piedmont Triad—specifically Greensboro, High Point, and Winston-Salem. Both sandwiches can be ordered with three different proteins: Original (classic breaded), Spicy (breaded), or Grilled.

The Avocado Sriracha BLT Sandwich stacks up with lettuce, tomato, seasoned avocado mash, and strips of bacon, plus cayenne ranch on the side. It also comes on Sriracha Swirl Toast, which is not something Chick-fil-A typically plays with.

Meanwhile, the Sweet Chili Lime Crunch Sandwich leans crunchy-fresh with a cabbage-and-kale slaw dressed in a creamy ginger-lime situation, finished with a drizzle of sweet chili sauce, and served on a buttered white bun.

The tests are slated to run through March 7 (or while supplies last), and pricing will vary by location.

If this all sounds familiar, the chain also recently rolled out Frosted Sodas and Floats nationwide (with retro-inspired packaging) as part of its anniversary celebration. So if these two sandwiches get the same kind of love in their test markets, there’s a very real chance the rest of us eventually get a bite.

Until then, I guess we’re all just waiting for Oklahoma and North Carolina to do the lord’s work and report back.
