I don’t usually think of Martha Stewart and the word “poor” in the same sentence, but the culinary queen always has a surprise up her sleeve. From her sultry thirst traps on social media to her friendship with Snoop Dogg, we truly never know what Martha will do next. Case in point: We just found out Martha’s current favorite snack—and yes, she’s dubbed it “the poor man’s potato chip.”
She takes a Ruffles chip and tops it with caviar and sour cream. I knew I liked Martha—I, too, am a sucker for a caviar-topped chip. “Try it, it’s really good—better than Melba toast,” she exclusively tells Delish.
And that’s not the only finger food Martha gets down and dirty with. The entrepreneur made an appearance at the Pepsi Hype Hour during Pepsi Bay Area Local Eats in San Francisco ahead of the Super Bowl at the Fan Zone at Yerba Buena Gardens. While there, enjoying Pepsi Zero Sugar and free food, she chatted with us about some of her other favorite snacks. “I love wings. My grandma was from Buffalo, and her Buffalo chicken wings were the very best,” she shares. Just make sure to wash your hands with soap and water after (wet wipes won’t do)!
Not a stranger to classic Super Bowl dishes, Martha also agrees with Delish readers that nachos are an elite snack. “If they’re good nachos, there’s nothing better,” she says. “But every nacho has to have cheese on it. A lot of restaurants cheat on it and just put the cheese on the top, and then you have a whole lot of chips underneath with nothing on them. That’s very, very, very bad.” We couldn’t agree more, Martha. Make them right or don’t make them at all!
