22 Recipes Former Allrecipes Staff Still Make All the Time

I was an editor at Allrecipes 20 years ago and recently wrote an article listing my “lifer” recipes—i.e. recipes that have a permanent place in my life, even after all these years. And it got me curious about what my former co-workers would say their favorites were. So I asked them! And the result is a batch of must-add-to-recipe-box winners.

In addition to my personal fave, Taqueria Style Tacos—Carne Asada Tacos, there were several Mexican-inspired recipes in the mix:

Almost my entire list of favorite recipes are desserts, and my former co-workers had a few treats to add:

In a surprise to absolutely no one who’s ever tried a recipe from Chef John, enough of his were mentioned that he deserved his own section:

Though these last few didn’t fit neatly into one of the categories above, they are still among the best of the best. Kim L. said Red Lentil Curry is the one and only she and her husband still make. Jen E.’s adds further proof that the World’s Best Lasagna might just be exactly that. And Rachel M. says this Awesome and Easy Creamy Corn Casserole is on her family’s Thanksgiving table every year.

And there you have it. The recipes former Allrecipes employees—who’ve seen a lot of recipes, and are very discerning—still make decades later. I’m personally excited to cook and bake way through the ones I haven’t tried yet, and I hope you enjoy doing the same!
