Poppi Teases New Cherry, Shirley Temple-Inspired Flavor For 2026

  • Poppi teased a new cherry-flavored soda across a series of cryptic Instagram posts.
  • Fans believe it’s inspired by the classic Shirley Temple mocktail.
  • The flavor hasn’t officially dropped yet, but the internet is already ready to crack open a can.

Poppi’s been in a full-on tease era this week. The soda brand posted a string of cryptic Instagram videos—a red curtain here, a dressing room door there, a cheeky “ST” on the wall—and fans immediately started guessing what’s coming.

By Monday, the answer seemed obvious: cherries. Poppi’s latest clip showed a silver dish filled with maraschino cherries, captioned, “Setting the table bc we’re about to eat 🍒🍒🍒.” The center cherry is also adorned with the date “1.5,” teeing up their first better-for-you soda drop of 2026.

It didn’t take long for fans to put two and two together. “NEED HER!!!!! 🍒🍒🍒,” one person wrote. Another said, “MY DREAM COME TRUE,” while someone else chimed in, “Y’all need to stop teasing!! So excited for this!”

Most of the internet’s now convinced Poppi’s gearing up to launch a Shirley Temple–inspired flavor, based on Target’s early product listing and the “ST” easter eggs in those teaser clips. It definitely tracks, since the brand already has Root Beer, Cherry Cola, and Cream Soda, so this one feels like a natural next step in their throwback-flavor profile journey.

Poppi hasn’t officially confirmed anything yet, but considering the hype (and the close proximity of that teased release date), it won’t stay under wraps for long. And if this really is a fizzy nod to every kid’s favorite grenadine-and-lemon-lime mocktail, you can expect shelves to clear out—and social feeds to light up—the second it drops.
