Major Retailer Recalls Frozen Dairy-Free Dessert


  • So Delicious Dairy Free Salted Caramel Cluster Non-Dairy Frozen Dessert pints have been recalled nationwide due to foreign material contamination.
  • The cashew clusters in the dessert include small stones and other hard objects and should not be consumed.

Danone U.S. is voluntarily recalling pints of one of its popular dairy-free dessert flavors manufactured by So Delicious. So Delicious Dairy Free Salted Caramel Cluster Non-Dairy Frozen Dessert pints have been recalled due to the potential presence of foreign materials, including “small stones and other hard objects” within the cashew clusters.

Fortunately, the recall only pertains to that one flavor; however, the pints were distributed to retail stores nationwide. According to the recall notice, “So Delicious Dairy Free® is working swiftly with retail partners to remove the potentially impacted product from shelves. In the meantime, the company has already identified and corrected this issue and will soon be able to bring back the frozen dessert so many people enjoy.”

The affected product has multiple best-by expiration dates prior to August 8, 2027 and contain the UPC code 744473476138 and SKU 136603. Make sure to check your freezers to ensure you don’t have any of the affected product. If you do, do not consume it.
