We’re used to Martha Stewart making tea, but this time around she’s spilling it in a major way. A trailer for her new Netflix documentary, Martha, was recently posted online, and let’s just say that we were left speechless within the first 35 seconds.
In the short clip, Martha offered some sage advice to young women in troubled relationships.
“Young women, listen to my advice. If you’re married and your husband starts to cheat on you, he’s a piece of s**t. Get out of that marriage,” she said.
After sharing that tidbit, the television host said that she had an affair early on. Martha replied, admitting, “Yeah, but I don’t think Andy ever knew about that.”
And if you think Martha was quite candid about her affair, just wait until you hear the message she had for the prosecutors who sent her to prison in 2004.
“Those prosecutors should’ve been put in a Cuisinart and turned on high,” said Martha in the trailer.
The cookbook author and TV host also touched on her time in prison, revealing that at one point she was placed in solitary confinement at Alderson Federal Prison Camp in West Virginia.
“I was a trophy for these idiots. I was dragged into solitary. No food or water,” Martha confessed.
The trailer for the documentary swiftly made its way around social media, where fans were shocked (and a bit impressed) at how candid Martha was about her past affair.
“Had no idea Martha Stewart was a comedian. She said I can cheat but I’ll be damned if my husband do it,” one person wrote online.
“I’m sorry but this took me OUT! I’m tuning IN!!!” another user added.
Martha will be available to stream on Netflix on October 30.
