Luckily for hungry shoppers, Instacart has heard your cries for cheaper eats and is answering your prayers by launching a limited-time Summer Like It’s 1999 deal now through September 5.
As the grocery delivery service states, “we’re nostalgic for the carefree days of 90s summers,” so to remind people of those happy-go-lucky days of yesteryear, they are dropping prices like you dropped after smashing your ankle with a Skip-It. Instacart customers can get up to 47.2% off classic ’90s treats like Capri-Suns, Bagel Bites, Fruity Pebbles, and mac & cheese. If you’re raising an eyebrow at the very specific percentage, there’s actually a reason for this number–the discount ensures prices reflect what they were in 1999.
While the promotion is certainly epic, there are some stipulations. Customers are limited to three offers per order and a $4.72 maximum discount per $10 of eligible items.
Customers are already breaking out the butterfly clips to celebrate the epic low prices. “Now I don’t have to feel bad or look stupid about drinking Capri Suns, I’m 56 years old and I so love them,” one shopper commented on Instacart’s social post.
“I feel like a kid again,” wrote another customer.
