Opening the bag, I got a wave of intense sweetness that felt a bit synthetic. After unwrapping the foil, I braced for the cloying sweetness of the white cream Kiss with its brownish cookie flecks, but once it settled in my mouth, I was shocked to find it read \u201cbuttery sugar cookie\u201d more than \u201csugar bomb.\u201d <\/p>\n
I\u2019d say these are \u201choliday-bowl-for-guests\u201d good versus \u201cleave me alone, I\u2019m about to eat 14.\u201d One Delish<\/em> taster said they \u201ctaste like a candle.\u201d I don\u2019t fully disagree, but if you\u2019re Team Snickerdoodle, godspeed. Personally, I\u2019d steer toward the Peppermint Candy Cane Kisses for that classic holiday hit. <\/p>\n3. Hershey\u2019s Grinch Milk Chocolate Bar<\/h2>\n\n\n

Nothing against it\u2014I just usually get my chocolate fix via desserts, frostings, or ice cream. That said, these bars are adorable with Grinch, Max the Dog, and Cindy-Lou Who designs\u2014very stocking-stuffer, very kid-coded. A couple of bites in, I got a cozy nostalgia hit\u2026and then immediately thought, \u201cWow, I miss that Kit Kat I ate earlier.\u201d If you want adventure, it\u2019s not here. But for tradition, and tiny Whos, the vibes are immaculate. <\/p>\n

So, naturally, I expected greatness from the Mini Trees\u2014and flavor-wise, they deliver.<\/p>\n
BUT. These come unwrapped, and they melt fast. If I bring the bag to the couch (please refrigerate your Reese\u2019s, people) and let them sit out for a little too long, I\u2019ll end up with questionable fingerprints and a need for more Bounty. Also, because they\u2019re tiny, I will<\/em> eat the entire bag. For my sanity, I prefer the individually wrapped big boys (eggs, pumpkins, etc.). A puny Norway Spruce at Rockefeller Center wouldn\u2019t really have the same effect, would it?<\/p>\n1. KIT KAT Peppermint Stick<\/h2>\n\n

I\u2019ll happily demolish the mini Halloween ones (I\u2019m not a monster), but in the CVS aisle, they rarely call my name. This one, though, flirted first. The white, pepperminty creme has a \u201cunwrap and let me fill your nostrils with mint\u201d moment that hits before you even take a bite. It\u2019s a little reminiscent of the Cookies \u2019n\u2019 Creme Hershey bar (childhood me ate those like rent was due), but swap the Oreo bits for crunchy red candy pieces a la candy cane.<\/p>\n
I paused to \u201clet my camera eat,\u201d and immediately got mad at my iPhone for focusing too slowly because I wanted to NIBBLE. I planned<\/em> to save some for later. Reader, I did not. Delish<\/em> associate editor Amanda Mactas agreed: \u201cVery delicious and minty. I don\u2019t even like Kit Kats or white chocolate, and was a fan of this.\u201d So, yes, a merry little mic drop of chocolate indeed.<\/p>\nThe Verdict<\/strong><\/h2>\nHershey\u2019s holiday squad covers both the classics and the seasonal twist set. There\u2019s not really a bad pick in the bunch, but if you only grab one, make it the Kit Kat Peppermint Stick. As for me? I\u2019ll be over here bouncing off the walls, pretending I understand portion control. \u2019Tis the season, everyone.<\/p>\n\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n
