I&#8217;m not among that demographic and happen to love a well-cooked turkey. But like any good American, my favorite part of Thanksgiving isn&#8217;t the turkey; it&#8217;s the sides.  <\/p>\n<p data-journey-content=\"true\" data-node-id=\"3\" class=\"css-6wxqfj emevuu60\">There&#8217;s really nothing like piling all the fixings atop your turkey\u2014mashed potatoes, creamed corn, stuffing\u2014you name it, I want it on my plate. But some sides are more popular than others. According to Campbell&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/state-of-the-sides-report-4-0.paperturn-view.com\/2025-campbell-s-state-of-the-sides-report?pid=ODk8915532&amp;p=19&amp;_gl=1*b0owpd*_ga*MjA4Mjg1NzE1LjE3NTg1NTUyOTk.*_ga_DK3GDWHWJH*czE3NjI4MDYwMTckbzYkZzEkdDE3NjI4MDYwNjQkajEzJGwwJGgw\" target=\"_blank\" data-vars-ga-outbound-link=\"https:\/\/state-of-the-sides-report-4-0.paperturn-view.com\/2025-campbell-s-state-of-the-sides-report?pid=ODk8915532&amp;p=19&amp;_gl=1*b0owpd*_ga*MjA4Mjg1NzE1LjE3NTg1NTUyOTk.*_ga_DK3GDWHWJH*czE3NjI4MDYwMTckbzYkZzEkdDE3NjI4MDYwNjQkajEzJGwwJGgw\" data-vars-ga-ux-element=\"Hyperlink\" data-vars-ga-call-to-action=\"State of the Sides Report\" data-node-id=\"3.1\" class=\"body-link css-1i7jlb0 emevuu60\">State of the Sides Report<\/a>, stuffing (also known as dressing) is America&#8217;s number one side dish of choice, with 42 states ranking it at the top spot. Coming in at number two is mashed potatoes, followed by sweet potatoes, mac and cheese, and green bean casserole, respectively.  <\/p>\n<p data-journey-content=\"true\" data-node-id=\"4\" class=\"css-6wxqfj emevuu60\">To determine the top picks, Campbell&#8217;s commissioned a survey of 5,000 American adults who celebrate the holiday, with 100 in each state. Independent research organization Reputation Leaders conducted the survey between July and August 2025.  <\/p>\n<section data-embed=\"watch-next\" data-lazy-id=\"P0-14\" data-node-id=\"5\" class=\"embed\"\/>\n<p data-journey-content=\"true\" data-node-id=\"6\" class=\"css-6wxqfj emevuu60\">While the majority of respondents said they love traditional sides, they were equally open to trying something new (may we recommend our Gnocchi Green Bean Casserole, Croissant Stuffing, or Harvest Caesar Salad?). 77% of people reported that a family recipe always makes an appearance at the dinner table, and 85% said that the best part of Thanksgiving is actually the leftovers\u2014good thing we know what to do with those!  <\/p>\n<p data-journey-content=\"true\" data-node-id=\"7\" class=\"css-6wxqfj emevuu60\">And just like me, most Americans prefer the sides to the main dish\u2014and almost half said they&#8217;d be totally happy loading up their plate with sides only. While preferences vary, one thing&#8217;s for sure: stuffing is no side piece\u2014it&#8217;s truly the star of the show.
