Talker Research surveyed Americans about where they most want to travel in the United States just to try the local food.<\/li>\n
Tied for first place were Philadelphia and New York City, to try a Philly cheesesteak and New York-style pizza, respectively.<\/li>\n
Americans also think that New York State has the best food overall.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n
America is a diverse country\u2014every state has its own unique delicacies that feel inherent to that locale. New York City’s black-and-white cookies are unrivaled, Connecticut has mastered the art of pizza, and Napa is the uncontested wine capital of the country. With culinary travel on the rise, people are more conscious than ever about where they go and what they put in their mouths. In fact, some people plan their vacations exclusively around what they plan to eat\u2014whether it’s Michelin-starred restaurants or award-winning food trucks. <\/p>\n
