Once You Pop Mystery Boxes<\/a>\u2014complete with a secret-flavor can and a collectible Pringamabob\u2014I volunteered as tribute. <\/p>\nThe Pringles Mystery Box Taste-Test<\/h2>\n
Two canisters arrive in the box. One is the mystery flavor: pale yellow can, question marks, all the required drama. I peeled back the seal and caught a whiff that screamed taco night. Not heat, exactly\u2014more like that warm cumin-chili \u201ctaco kit\u201d aroma with red-brown specks dusting each crisp. The first bite gave me tangy, zesty, taco-meat energy with a little tongue tingle that lingered. There are four different mystery flavors circulating around, but I swear if this isn\u2019t Some Kind of Taco, I\u2019ll eat my Duckalips (which is the collectible charm I pulled, BTW\u2014more on that later). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A flavor reveal sticker at the bottom of the can would\u2019ve been fun. But I was also looking for an excuse to find \u201cone more data point\u201d at 10 a.m. because chips are a breakfast if you believe in yourself. <\/p>\n

You tear open a shiny blind bag like you\u2019re nine again, hoping for a holographic Charizard. There are six Pringamabobs total: Snaxolotl (the rare one), Crispybara, Puptato, Duckalips, Crunchback Whale, and Pringypus. I pulled Duckalips\u2014on brand for Pringles lore, even if my heart longed for the Crunchback Whale. Up close, the sculpt is meta: It looks like it\u2019s literally built from stacked crisps, which I initially read as \u201cyellow duck skeleton\u201d until I clocked the ridges. It\u2019s rubbery, with a sturdy key ring. A hair big for pocket keys, I\u2019d say, but an elite desk gremlin nonetheless.<\/p>\n
The Verdict<\/h2>\n
The mystery crisps are legit tasty (Team Taco \u2019til proven otherwise), and the charm is cute-weird in the right way. It reminded me why I fell in love with Pringles as a youth, and if I needed a playful snack for a watch party or Friendsgiving pregame, these would make the cut. Oh, and if any of you out there score the Snaxolotl, just know I\u2019m open to tradesies. <\/p>\n\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n
