Another opinion she&#8217;s not afraid to share? She really, really dislikes penne.  <\/p>\n<p data-journey-content=\"true\" data-node-id=\"3\" class=\"css-6wxqfj emevuu60\">&#8220;I&#8217;m over them,&#8221; she tells <em data-node-id=\"3.1\">Delish<\/em><em data-node-id=\"3.2\"\/>. &#8220;I get asked this a lot\u2014What about you carrying some version of penne?&#8217; And I&#8217;m like, why, it&#8217;s been done a million times over? It is so boring.&#8221; Giada adds that some pasta shapes are simply boring and uninteresting, but there are also really fun shapes that she finds unique and great to work with.  <\/p>\n<p data-journey-content=\"true\" data-node-id=\"4\" class=\"css-6wxqfj emevuu60\">Among those is Nodi Marini. &#8220;It is a sailor&#8217;s knot, so it looks almost like a bell, but it&#8217;s not a campanelle. And while pasta shapes might seem banal, Giada says they were actually the basis of a fun game she used to play with her daughter. &#8220;We&#8217;d have a lot of different-shaped pastas, and she&#8217;d pick what she wanted for dinner. It&#8217;s empowering for [kids] to be a part of the conversation of eating,&#8221; she shares. <\/p>\n<p data-journey-content=\"true\" data-node-id=\"7\" class=\"css-6wxqfj emevuu60\">And speaking of hot takes (or to some, not so hot): while it feels like there&#8217;s always an influencer on your FYP sipping a matcha, Giada is strictly a coffee gal. &#8220;The matcha flavor\u2014 and the matcha cookies and matcha everything\u2014is not for me,&#8221; she firmly states. &#8220;I just don&#8217;t like that graininess or that flavor.
