\nFans of nostalgia are in for quite a treat this season. The Coca-Cola Company is bringing back one of its most iconic sodas\u2014Mr. Pibb. The soda, which originally hit the market in 1972 as a direct competitor to Dr. Pepper, was rebranded and reformulated in 2001 as Pibb Xtra with a more cinnamon-y, spicy cherry flavor. Now, the company is going back to its roots: Mr. Pibb will feature “an intense sweet cherry flavor with hints of caramel and a lingering spicy finish.” It will also have 30% more caffeine (54 mg in a 12-ounce can) than Pibb Xtra. <\/p>\n

Mr. Pibb will be joined by Mr. Pibb Zero Sugar, and both will begin hitting shelves regionally this month, with wider expansion to follow in 2026. The soda will be available in 12-ounce 12-packs, 20-ounce bottles, and 2-liter bottles. <\/p>\n
“By reviving the brand\u2019s original name and pairing it with a reformulated taste and striking new design, Mr. Pibb brings nostalgia and innovation together in one package \u2013 giving longtime fans a fresh reason to reconnect while introducing the brand to a new generation,” the press release states. <\/p>\n
