Luckily for parents, they can sneak some candy from their kids, but for us unencumbered folk, we’re SOL. Little Sleepies<\/a> recently conducted a study to get to the bottom of parents’ sneaky Halloween habits, and the results were eye-opening. <\/p>\n
The company surveyed 1,050 parents across the country and found that nine out of ten parents go through their kids’ Halloween candy before they can eat any\u2014mostly to make sure the candy is safe and hasn’t been tampered with\u2014but half also admit to taking some for themselves (and 40% consider their kids’ candy fair game). The sneakier parents have even more interesting habits: a quarter of respondents said they hide their kids’ Halloween candy so they can eat it themselves, and 30% impose a candy tax in exchange for taking their kids trick-or-treating. <\/p>\n
