\nEarlier this year, Frida turned heads with its breast milk-inspired ice cream, and now the brand is tackling another taboo topic: boogers. Right in time for cold and flu season, the popular baby brand has launched Booger Bites Candy. Don’t worry\u2014just like its breast milk ice cream, no actual boogers are included in the gummy candy. Whew. <\/p>\n
However, the booger-inspired gummies were indeed created with “the input of actual booger eaters,” according to the brand, and have a sweet-and-salty flavor. (That’s a little too<\/em> much info, if you ask me.) In the spirit of the season, the gummies are packed with 45 mg of vitamin C (50% of your daily value) to help scare those boogies away and, hopefully, keep you and your littles from getting sick. <\/p>\n
Friday’s Boogie Bites Candy (hand-picked!) is currently available nationwide on Gopuff and comes in three shapes and colors inspired by\u2014you guessed it\u2014the real deal. Naturally, we gave them a try, ya know, to see if they taste like boogers (even though how could we possibly<\/em> know what those taste like?!). <\/p>\n

“The texture is a little boogery,” said Digital Food Production Assistant Colton Trowbridge. “The concept is upsetting, but it’s not actually bad.” <\/p>\n
“It’s the association that’s getting me, but it just tastes like a lemon gummy,” said Director of Content Strategy Rachel Crocetti. <\/p>\n
“Like a berry Emergen-C,” said Associate Editor Gabby Romero. <\/p>\n
Personally, they deliver on both salty and sweet vibes, but mostly taste fruity with a lingering, slightly “healthy” aftertaste. Hey, if they prevent me from getting real-life boogers, count me in. <\/p>\n
