CPSC<\/span><\/figcaption><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\nThe recall affects about 5.8 million Stainless King Food Jars and 2.3 million Sportsman Food & Beverage Bottles. Thermos has received 27 reports of users being struck by an ejected stopper, and some of those cases were serious enough to require medical attention. Most alarming of all, three people suffered permanent vision loss after being hit in the eye.<\/p>\n\nThe products involved are:<\/p>\n
\n- Thermos Stainless King Food Jars with model numbers SK3000 and SK3020, manufactured before July 2023<\/li>\n
- Thermos Sportsman Food & Beverage Bottles with model number SK3010<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
The recalled containers were sold in multiple colors and sizes, with the Thermos logo printed on the side and the model number printed on the bottom. They were sold at Target, Walmart, Amazon, Thermos, and other retailers between March 2008 and July 2024 for around $30.<\/p>\n\n\n

Depending on the model, Thermos is offering either a free replacement pressure-relief stopper or a replacement bottle. For some food jars, customers will need to throw away the stopper and send Thermos a photo showing it has been discarded. For the recalled Sportsman bottles, Thermos says customers will need to send the bottle back using a prepaid shipping label.<\/p>\n\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n
