The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fda.gov\/safety\/recalls-market-withdrawals-safety-alerts\/made-fresh-salads-inc-recalls-assorted-flavors-cream-cheese-because-possible-health-risk\" target=\"_blank\" data-vars-ga-outbound-link=\"https:\/\/www.fda.gov\/safety\/recalls-market-withdrawals-safety-alerts\/made-fresh-salads-inc-recalls-assorted-flavors-cream-cheese-because-possible-health-risk\" data-vars-ga-ux-element=\"Hyperlink\" data-vars-ga-call-to-action=\"FDA\" data-node-id=\"2.3\" class=\"body-link css-8bav6j emevuu60\">FDA<\/a> just issued a Class I recall for cream cheese in assorted flavors produced by Made Fresh Salads, Inc. The cream cheese may be contaminated with <em data-node-id=\"2.5\">Listeria monocytogenes<\/em>, which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in those with weakened immune systems, young children, the elderly, and pregnant women. <\/p>\n<p data-journey-content=\"true\" data-node-id=\"3\" class=\"css-6wxqfj emevuu60\">The affected cream cheese was distributed only in New York, specifically in Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx, and New York City. The issue was discovered through a routine sampling program conducted by the production company, which found that part of the mixer used to produce the product was contaminated with<em data-node-id=\"3.3\"> Listeria<\/em>.
