The creamy frozen treat has been a fixture on the chain\u2019s menu since its start in 1969. Now, it\u2019s one of Wendy\u2019s most iconic products.<\/p>\n
For a bit of fast food history: The chain offered only chocolate Frosties for more than 30 years before adding a vanilla flavor in 2006. Since then, Wendy\u2019s has introduced limited-edition flavors and major innovations like the Frosty Fusion, the chain\u2019s answer to the McFlurry. <\/p>\n
One of the most notable seasonal flavors was the Girl Scouts Thin Mints Frosty that debuted early last year. Cookie lovers rejoiced at the news, and the limited-time offering quickly developed a cult following.<\/p>\n
\n And now, in honor of Girl Scouts Cookie season, the Thin Mints Frosty is back for 2026\u2014and it\u2019s even better than before. Alongside the original Frosty Swirl, the Thin Mints flavor is also available as a Frosty Fusion. <\/p>\n
But how do these menu items compare to each other? I had the chance to try them both and unpack all of the differences. So next time you find yourself in the Wendy\u2019s drive-thru, you know exactly which one to order. <\/p>\n

And, thankfully, nothing has changed. Each Frosty Swirl comes with a vanilla Frosty base and the chain\u2019s signature Thin Mints sauce, which features a nostalgic mint flavor and finely crushed cookie crumbs. <\/p>\n
The most accurate word I can think of to describe the texture of this sauce is grainy\u2014but I don\u2019t mean it in a bad way. The crumbs are actually my favorite part of the Thin Mints Frosty Swirl. You can also customize your treat by swapping in the chocolate Frosty base instead (the flavor combo I personally prefer.) <\/p>\n

But Wendy\u2019s doesn\u2019t stop there. The chain also adds two scoops of crumbled Thin Mints cookies and spins the Frosty to evenly distribute the mix-ins.<\/p>\n
In my opinion, the simple changes make a major impact. With the Frosty Fusion, you don\u2019t need to dig around the cup to create the perfect bite\u2014every single one is studded with Thin Mints flavor. But the crumbled Thin Mints pieces are what really take this treat to the next level. Combined with the crumbs in the sauce, each bite offers exciting textures and intense Girl Scouts Cookie flavor. <\/p>\n
With both the Swirl and the Fusion in front of me, I kept finding myself going back to the Fusion. I didn\u2019t think Wendy\u2019s would be able to top the original\u2014but the chain absolutely did with this new version. However, if I were ordering a Frosty with the express goal of enjoying it with French fries, I\u2019d opt for the Swirl. The smoother texture seems much better suited for dipping, IMO. <\/p>\n
