\nWho doesn’t love Nutella? It single-handedly made it socially acceptable to eat chocolate for breakfast (or lunch, or dinner), so it gets a big ol’ A+ in my book. The hazelnut-cocoa spread is good for all sorts of things, from using it in baked goods like our delicious Nutella pumpkin cookies to simply slathering it on toast as you run out the door. Last year, the iconic brand announced plans to introduce its first new flavor in over 60 years: Nutella Peanut. <\/p>\n
The peanutty twist on classic Nutella combines that creamy cocoa we all know and love with roasted peanuts, while still keeping that signature hazelnut essence. While the new spread doesn’t officially launch in the U.S. until April 2, 2026, we got a first taste so you’ll know whether to mark your calendar. <\/p>\n
The verdict? I’d be running to stores. This spread tastes like a thick, melted Reese’s cup, and, if you ask me, it’s even better than the original. You still get the hazelnut flavor, but it reads more like an aftertaste once the chocolate-peanut butter hits first. <\/p>\n

Naturally, I brought a jar around the office to gauge my colleagues’ reactions. Some thought it was very similar to OG Nutella and said they’d use it the same way they use the hazelnut. version. Others had the same reaction I did and insisted they’d pick it over the original. <\/p>\n
“I would put this on everything,” said Senior Editor Samantha MacAvoy.<\/p>\n
“I don’t even like Nutella and that would ruin me,” proclaimed Digital Director Katelyn Lunders, as she went in for a second scoop. Honestly, I’d eat it by the spoonful. It’s a truly dangerous commodity.<\/p>\n
Once this is readily available on store shelves, I’m going to need to practice some self-control, but I do have one gripe with Nutella Peanut: my friends with tree nut allergies can’t enjoy it. Because it still contains hazelnut, this bad boy is strictly off-limits to anyone with nut allergies, but holding out hope that one day they’ll make a hazelnut-free version. <\/p>\n
