This takes a fair amount of prep and cook time, so I\u2019d recommend saving this for a weekend meal. The Gruyere flavor was there, but I\u2019d have liked even more of it. I checked for doneness at 1 hr 15 mins, and it was cooked, so I removed the foil and baked for only another 10 minutes before sprinkling on the remaining cheese and heading to the broiler. This is a tasty potato casserole, but even when it first went into the oven, I wondered if there was enough sauce to keep it moist. I did drizzle on a little more cream after taking off the foil, but it still turned out a bit dry. If I make again, I\u2019ll try increasing the amount of Gruyere as well as making more sauce to suit our taste.
