Is it the commitment to stocking the freshest produce? Affordable pricing? A wide selection of products? Turns out, it&#8217;s all of the above\u2014because, according to dunnhumby&#8217;s ninth annual <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dunnhumby.com\/about-us\/news\/ninth-annual-us-grocery-rankings\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-vars-ga-outbound-link=\"https:\/\/www.dunnhumby.com\/about-us\/news\/ninth-annual-us-grocery-rankings\/\" data-vars-ga-ux-element=\"Hyperlink\" data-vars-ga-call-to-action=\"Retailer Preference Index,\" data-node-id=\"2.3\" class=\"body-link css-1i7jlb0 emevuu60\">Retailer Preference Index,<\/a> the chain that does it best is H-E-B.  <\/p>\n<p data-journey-content=\"true\" data-node-id=\"3\" class=\"css-6wxqfj emevuu60\">The Texas-based regional grocer ranked first place for the 5th time in the survey&#8217;s history. The report notes that Americans are really prioritizing saving money while grocery shopping, which helps explain H-E-B&#8217;s continued dominance. To determine the best stores, in America, dunnhumby evaluated five key drivers of customer value: price, promotions and rewards; quality; digital; operations; and speed and convenience. The survey combined financial results with customer perceptions to determine its rankings and included feedback from more than 11,000 U.S. grocery shoppers.  <\/p>\n<p data-journey-content=\"true\" data-node-id=\"4\" class=\"css-6wxqfj emevuu60\"> So, what other grocery stores ranked highly among competitors? The top 10 were:<\/p>\n<section data-embed=\"watch-next\" data-lazy-id=\"P0-16\" data-node-id=\"5\" class=\"embed\"\/>\n<ol data-node-id=\"6\" class=\"css-kw9lqy emevuu60\">\n<li data-node-id=\"6.0\">H-E-B<\/li>\n<li data-node-id=\"6.1\">Market Basket<\/li>\n<li data-node-id=\"6.2\">Woodman&#8217;s<\/li>\n<li data-node-id=\"6.3\">Costco<\/li>\n<li data-node-id=\"6.4\">Aldi<\/li>\n<li data-node-id=\"6.5\">Winco Foods<\/li>\n<li data-node-id=\"6.6\">Trader Joe&#8217;s<\/li>\n<li data-node-id=\"6.7\">Amazon<\/li>\n<li data-node-id=\"6.8\">Wegman&#8217;s<\/li>\n<li data-node-id=\"6.9\">ShopRite<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p data-journey-content=\"true\" data-node-id=\"7\" class=\"css-6wxqfj emevuu60\">Many of the top grocers on the list are regional chains, and one thing they all seem to have in common is steady revenue growth over the past year. I&#8217;m not surprised to see quite a few of these names make the top 10, but if this survey proves one thing, it&#8217;s that smaller regional chains are definitely where it&#8217;s at.
