And while that might be a slight exaggeration, I do rely on all three to get me through the colder months. From October to March, I basically live in leggings and my favorite slip-on booties. Two or three times a week, soup is what’s for dinner. Not only are soups the ideal one-pot meal, but they also warm the body and comfort the soul. Plus, you can easily double the recipe for leftovers.

My favorite soup recipes make use of convenience products and shortcuts to reduce the prep time. That’s why Million Dollar Soup is the newest addition to my dinner repertoire. It uses cans of commercial soup and a rotisserie chicken, and only has four simple steps. Taste-wise, with its creamy and savory broth, it’s the perfect balance of simple ingredients and decadent flavors. Million Dollar Soup is so good, I just might be sad to see the warmer temperatures arrive come spring.

Peyton Beckwith

Why Is Million Dollar Soup So Irresistible?

If you’re a fan of rich, hearty soups, then this recipe belongs in your dinner rotation. A comforting blend of vegetables combines with a creamy flavor-packed broth and chunks of savory chicken to create an incredibly satisfying bowl. Million Dollar Soup’s delicious depth of flavor comes from a mix of bold spices, including Cajun seasoning, and from the sweet and smoky bacon. Cream of chicken soup, Cheddar cheese soup, sour cream, and shredded creamy mozzarella cheese add a mouthwatering richness to the broth, making it the coziest concoction to curl up with on a chilly night. Toppings of Cheddar cheese, bacon, scallions, and crushed Ritz crackers add even more flavor.
