Her ideal bagel is a bacon, egg, and cheese, absolutely slathered with the creamy, white condiment. \u201cMayo is going to change your life,\u201d she insists. \u201cPepper brings out the bacon flavor, and it\u2019s like you kind of get a bagel with cream cheese by adding mayo.\u201d Offer her a plain croissant in France or a mayo-less bagel sandwich from New York, and she\u2019ll choose the croissant. Add mayo back into the equation, and the bagel wins in a blowout.<\/p>\n<p data-journey-content=\"true\" data-node-id=\"4\" class=\"css-6wxqfj emevuu60\">It tracks that someone this specific about condiments is equally opinionated about what actually counts as a partnership. Park\u2019s latest is with Planet Oat, for a new White Chocolate Raspberry Oatmilk Creamer inspired by <em data-node-id=\"4.1\">Emily in Paris<\/em>. Park plays Mindy Chen, Emily\u2019s best friend and resident scene-stealing singer, whose musical numbers have only gotten bigger as the show heads into its fifth season, premiering December 18.<\/p>\n<p data-journey-content=\"true\" data-node-id=\"8\" class=\"css-6wxqfj emevuu60\">In some ways, her real life overlaps neatly with the fantasy. The biggest is her friendship with Lily Collins. \u201cThat\u2019s always been the heart of it for us,\u201d Park says. \u201cWe\u2019ll be filming a scene, and people think we\u2019re rehearsing because we talk in the same way off set. That\u2019s the truest.\u201d The rest? That\u2019s where things lean a little toward fiction. \u201cI certainly am not an heiress,\u201d she laughs. In real life, she\u2019s usually in sneakers, not stilettos\u2014except when the job demands it. <\/p>\n<p data-journey-content=\"true\" data-node-id=\"9\" class=\"css-6wxqfj emevuu60\">This season includes a musical number set to \u201cEspresso\u201d that they shot over four separate days: on a boat, on cobblestone stairs, over brick flooring, in a martini glass, all in sky-high heels. \u201cI\u2019ve conquered every terrain,\u201d she says. \u201cThat feels more sci-fi than my real life.\u201d <\/p>\n<p data-journey-content=\"true\" data-node-id=\"10\" class=\"css-6wxqfj emevuu60\">The less glamorous part of living in this world is the grind: long days, lots of travel, food that can be either too rich or not substantial enough to get you through a 12-hour shoot. \u201cEspecially when filming, I\u2019ll indulge and go out to eat once in a while,\u201d she says. \u201cBut in Paris and Italy, their breakfast is like a croissant and espresso, and then not the best throughout the day.\u201d This past season, she finally found a system that didn\u2019t wipe her out.<\/p>\n<section data-embed=\"editorial-link\" data-lazy-id=\"P0-17\" data-node-id=\"11\" class=\"embed\">\n<aside class=\"css-1fm2v8u e94w1mj9\">\n<h6 class=\"css-18s47pf e94w1mj7\"><span aria-hidden=\"true\" data-theme-key=\"title-design-element-before\" class=\"css-0 eagam8p0\"\/><span class=\"css-8lle59 e94w1mj5\">Related Story<\/span><span aria-hidden=\"true\" data-theme-key=\"title-design-element-after\" class=\"css-0 eagam8p1\"\/><\/h6>\n<\/aside>\n<\/section>\n<p data-journey-content=\"true\" data-node-id=\"12\" class=\"css-6wxqfj emevuu60\">\u201cI was really proud I got really good at meal prepping,\u201d she says. She started using the Planet Oat creamer beyond her coffee, whisking it into chia seed pudding and portioning it into cute Tupperware. On set days, she\u2019d grab one of those and a hard-boiled egg on her way out the door. When they were filming in the summer, she kept frozen fruit in the freezer and blitzed smoothies \u201cif it\u2019s not too cold.\u201d It\u2019s not the stuff you see in sweeping establishing shots of the Seine, but it\u2019s the real backbone of getting through a season.<\/p>\n<p data-journey-content=\"true\" data-node-id=\"13\" class=\"css-6wxqfj emevuu60\">On camera, the food is part of the job. Off camera, it\u2019s also a logistical puzzle. \u201cSometimes for the scene I need to take a huge bite, and there\u2019s a spit bucket,\u201d she explains. \u201cBut sometimes that food looks so good, maybe I\u2019ll nibble on it the whole scene.\u201d The guiding principle is continuity: the less the food has to be reset between takes, the better. One thing that isn\u2019t faked, though, is the caffeine. \u201cWe do drink a lot of coffee and espresso on set,\u201d she says, and \u201ccan we make it taste good?\u201d is always an active discussion.<\/p>\n<section data-embed=\"instagram\" data-lazy-id=\"P0-18\" data-node-id=\"14\" class=\"embed\"\/>\n<p data-journey-content=\"true\" data-node-id=\"15\" class=\"css-6wxqfj emevuu60\">When she lands in Paris now, there\u2019s a ritual that flips her brain into work-but-also-home mode. \u201cThe first thing I get, I go to a brasserie, and I need a French onion soup,\u201d she says.  Escargot is non-negotiable, too. \u201cThey really douse it in that butter and pesto. Now I\u2019m in Paris.\u201d<\/p>\n<p data-journey-content=\"true\" data-node-id=\"16\" class=\"css-6wxqfj emevuu60\">Back in the States, the picture looks different: less couture, more game night. Park loves hosting, especially now that her schedule has her bouncing between cities. After filming a movie in Alabama, she went back to L.A. and invited friends over for homemade Crunchwrap Supremes inspired by Taco Bell. \u201cCooking is so much about prep,\u201d she says. She laid everything out, assembled them herself, and claims, \u201cIt was honestly the best thing I\u2019ve ever made.\u201d<\/p>\n<p data-journey-content=\"true\" data-node-id=\"17\" class=\"css-6wxqfj emevuu60\">The throughline in all of it is that she treats food the way she treats the rest of her life: with curiosity and a very sure sense of what actually makes her feel good. Mayo is her hill. Oat milk is her workaround when dairy betrays her.
