Denny&#8217;s still operates over 1,300 locations, so there&#8217;s no shortage of spots for you to get your fix of pancakes and bacon.  <\/p>\n<p data-journey-content=\"true\" data-node-id=\"4\" class=\"css-6wxqfj emevuu60\">Just last month, private investors acquired the company for a whopping $620 million. The decision to downsize was made prior to the acquisition, and the company&#8217;s closure plans are part of a broader plan for more positive growth in the coming year. <\/p>\n<section data-embed=\"watch-next\" data-lazy-id=\"P0-13\" data-node-id=\"5\" class=\"embed\"\/>\n<p data-journey-content=\"true\" data-node-id=\"6\" class=\"css-6wxqfj emevuu60\">Denny&#8217;s follows in the footsteps of other chain restaurants that are also closing locations in an attempt to revive its brand. Wendy&#8217;s, Long John Silver&#8217;s, Jack in the Box, and even the behemoth that is Starbucks have announced selective location closures in the hundreds. <\/p>\n<p data-journey-content=\"true\" data-node-id=\"7\" class=\"css-6wxqfj emevuu60\">Reactions to the news are mixed. &#8220;Future generations will never know the joy of 3 AM Denny&#8217;s,&#8221; one fan lamented on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/news\/comments\/1g9r5v3\/dennys_is_closing_150_restaurants\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-vars-ga-outbound-link=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/news\/comments\/1g9r5v3\/dennys_is_closing_150_restaurants\/\" data-vars-ga-ux-element=\"Hyperlink\" data-vars-ga-call-to-action=\"Reddit\" data-node-id=\"7.1\" class=\"body-link css-1i7jlb0 emevuu60\">Reddit<\/a>. &#8220;I have always had a warm spot for them&#8230;Sad to see them close so many restaurants,&#8221; another commented, with a third saying: &#8220;F*****g love dennys unironically.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p data-journey-content=\"true\" data-node-id=\"8\" class=\"css-6wxqfj emevuu60\">Others were more blunt: &#8220;It&#8217;s been coming for awhile. The biggest problem is it&#8217;s not cheap food anymore, and that&#8217;s the big reason people would go there,&#8221; one commenter wrote. &#8220;The food at one time was reliable and good. Especially for breakfast, it was a regular spot for us.
