World Market, the store that seemingly has it all, has recently recalled a very popular item from its shelves. These days, everyone is clamoring to get their hands on the pricey, yet indulgent pistachio cream that is highly coveted for its use in Dubai chocolate goodies (like our mouthwatering Dubai chocolate brownies). Unfortunately for lovers of World Market’s spread—Emek Spread Pistachio Cacao Cream with Kadayif—you’ll want to check your jar. The popular spread, which combines all the fixings typically found in Dubai chocolate, has been recalled due to potential contamination with Salmonella.

The 9.7-ounce jars contain a UPC code of 8 69652 10130 1, batch number 250401, and a best-before date of April 1, 2027. The recalled products were sold between June 11 and July 9, 2025, in World Market stores in over 30 US states. While no illnesses have been reported thus far, consumers who have purchased the recalled products are urged not to consume them and instead return them to your place of purchase for a full refund.

Consuming a product contaminated with Salmonella can cause serious health issues, particularly in children, the elderly, or those with weakened immune systems. Symptoms can include nausea, vomiting, and stomach pain in most cases, but can even cause infected aneurysms, endocarditis, and arthritis in more severe cases.
