Ramen noodles are a classic cheap and easy dinner when you just don’t have the energy. But, they can also be used as the ultimate dinner hack when you’re still looking for something easy, but with a special twist. In this recipe, we’re using instant noodles in a Mongolian beef-inspired recipe. Flank steak is accompanied by veggies spiked with ginger, soy sauce, sugar, garlic, and scallions in this noodle skillet for an easy dinner that tastes a little extra special.
I took creative liberties when creating this dish, but there’s one ingredient I made sure to include: cornstarch. It makes the meat crispy and caramelized on the outside, and it helps thicken the sauce, giving it a velvety texture. If you don’t have any on hand (or you forgot to pick some up), feel free to skip it. But make sure to use it next time! (Rest assured, there will be a next time!)
