Everyone has different culinary preferences. And while I may not agree with, say, my own brother’s aversion to pizza or the way Eva Longoria loathes a salad or sandwich for lunch, that’s why it’s called a hot take.

The Only Murders in the Building star sat down with Delish for On My Plate, where she revealed plenty of her own dining do’s and don’ts. Though we could agree with plenty of Longoria’s POVs—for starters, she says dipping fries in a Frosty is “a must”—her lunchtime revelation was shocking.

“At lunch, I hate ‘have a sandwich and a salad.’ I’m like, ‘Where’s the hot stuff?’ It needs to be a hot meal,” she said of her rule. “I’m a hot meal girl. I need hot meals.” Sandwiches aren’t entirely off the table, though. There is an exception. She’s a fan of a “Cuban sandwich, which is hot. Or a Philly cheesesteak, which is hot.”

“But like, a cold club. I hate when people order that,” Longoria added. “[If] they’re like ‘Can I have a club sandwich and fries,’ and I’m like” *pretends to barf.*

So what is Longoria’s go-to mid-day meal? “I love a soup but I like hearty soups,” she said, before listing off her favorites, like chicken noodle.

“I’ll just pack that to go and I’ll have one of my soups. If it’s not soup, I’ll usually have a meat bowl. I like for it to be a protein bowl, so I add meat, I add beans, and then I add avocado, salsa, cheese,” Longoria said. “If I have mushrooms, I’ll sauté some mushrooms throw that in there. If I have squash, I’ll sauté that and throw that in there. If I have spinach, kale, whatever is in my fridge, I throw it into my meat bowl. And Siete they have these amazing seasoning packets.”
