Crushed peppermint candies, for rim
- 1 oz.
vodka
- 1 oz.
coffee or espresso liqueur
- 1 oz.
brewed espresso or cold-brew concentrate
- 2 1/2 oz.

A few drops of peppermint extract (optional)

Cocoa powder, for serving (optional)

- Step 1Heat a handful of chopped chocolate on a small plate in the microwave just until melted, about 20 seconds. Press the rim of a martini glass into the chocolate, then into the crushed mint candies.
- Step 2Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice. Add the vodka, coffee liqueur, espresso, eggnog, and peppermint extract (if using). Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 15 to 20 seconds.
- Step 3Strain into prepared glass, dust with cocoa (if using), and serve immediately.
